HOW TO BAKE SWEET POTATOES

Baked sweet potatoes make a super fluffy, sweet side dish easily made in the oven.
Sweet potatoes naturally have that sweet flavour, which only enhances when they are roasted in the oven. They are super-fast to prepare, but even if you are busy to deal with the kitchen work, you can just put them in your slow cooker and forget about them until you get hungry.
These can be prepared in so many ways, that it is up to you to choose your favourite. Whether they are simply topped with some butter, or stuffed with some meat and vegetables, or even just sprinkled with cinnamon, chili powder and cumin, they represent a healthy side dish option for these fall months. Add some pumpkin spice, and you will bring the atmosphere to the top!
If you have dilemma whether sweet potatoes are healthy, think about the fact that with just one medium potato you get over 400% of your daily vitamin A requirement. Also, it has its vibrant orange colour thanks to the powerful antioxidant, beta-carotene. It is also loaded up with fibre and potassium, so the answer to your dilemma is yes, they are a healthy delicious option!
I will give you one tip on buying sweet potatoes: look for those without wrinkles, cracks and soft spots on the skin. They can be stored in a cool, dry place for up to 5 weeks.
